Making Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Work in Belmond, Iowa

Typically, completing short term drug treatment means that you want to continue on with additional rehabilitation services such as going to individual and group counseling. Typically, substance abuse recovery is a long-term goal. That said, you might want to continue with your treatment in other settings for some time - depending on how confident you are in your sobriety, your determination, and your health.

Therefore, the step-down method after going through a short term treatment program will consist of other levels of treatment, including but not limited to:

  • Intensive outpatient programs (IOP)
  • Partial hospitalization programs (PHP)
  • Halfway houses
  • Sober living homes
  • Support groups
  • Outpatient treatments

In fact, even after you have completed a short term drug treatment program and have started transitioning into a new healthy and drug-free lifestyle, you will likely still need further support. You may discover these in group settings, such as by regularly attending 12-step support group meetings, or in an individualized environment like one on one counseling and outpatient therapy.

Typically, the longer you stay committed to the treatment protocol, the greater your chances of recovery will be.

As you attempt abstinence and structure in your life, you should take the time to find the best short term drug or alcohol rehab facility in Belmond in accordance with your exact requirements and preferences.

When searching for a short term rehab center, therefore, you might want to take into account the following factors:

  • The cost of treatment
  • The type and severity of your addiction
  • If the facility accepts insurance
  • The location of the facility
  • The length of the treatment programs
  • If you are suffering from any co-occurring physical and mental health disorders
  • The length of the treatment programs
