List of Short Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In Aplington, Iowa

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Aplington, Iowa

Short term drug and alcohol treatment is one of the more successful types of substance abuse treatment. In particular, it can be beneficial for individuals in Aplington who are unable to go to a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are numerous things you should look into while deciding on the rehab center you are going to attend. The three primary concerns encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Because no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have a few treatment options to decide on depending on your particular needs and desires. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will require that you live within the treatment program for a couple of weeks or so. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs but they last quite a bit shorter in duration while ensuring that you get the attention, support, and monitoring that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehab will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may receive individual and group counseling even as you continue discovering more positive life skills that will empower you to confront any difficult situation you may experience as opposed to reaching for drugs or alcohol.

In most cases, short term rehab in Aplington, IA. will begin with detoxification. The length of this program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your addiction as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detoxification, the short term rehabilitation facility will utilize other methods of treatment tailored to your particular needs. For instance, the program might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that may be offered in short term treatment include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods may be performed to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from drug or alcohol use, and show you how to make positive decisions so that you don't relapse. You might also learn new coping methods and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you need to resort to drugs.
