List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Louisville, Colorado

What is Short-Term Drug Treatment in Louisville, Colorado

A short term drug rehab facility is most appropriate for people with a short history of abuse or abuser's that desire to quit abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that form dependence/addiction even for a short period of time you can become dependent. Drug and alcohol dependence reveals itself when you make the decision to stop using the substance but you are struggling because of the psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use an addictive drug such as meth crack cocaine, heroin, lortab, ativan, morphine or various other potentially addictive substances for even a brief duration of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the situation you find yourself in, a short term drug and alcohol rehab program in Louisville could be the appropriate choice.

When you stop using addictive drugs abruptly you may develop what are known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will result in both physical and psychological symptoms such as weakness, shakiness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, agitation, crying, excitability, irritability, restlessness, delirium, hallucinations, depression, severe anxiety, paranoia etc... Withdrawal symptoms can induce urges to continue taking the drug to ease the symptoms even though you really desire to stop taking the substance. If this describes the situation that you find yourself in, you could receive effective help from a short term drug rehab.

The first step of a short term treatment program for addiction is the detox process. Medical detoxification is a process that helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to safely and comfortably wean you off the substance. After detoxification is finished, you will be given psychological support and counseling in order continue on with your recovery so that you may live a happy, drug-free life. A short term substance abuse program in Louisville, CO is typically 28 to 30 days in length but the benefits can be life-changing for the whole family.
