NorthStar Transitions is dedicated to assisting any person with an alcohol or drug use disorder in Erie and within the surrounding neighborhoods find full recovery. It offers several programs - such as inpatient drug abuse treatment, long term addiction treatment facilities, outpatient hospital programs, short term rehab programs, detoxification facilities and others - in line with its belief of the addiction treatment and rehab modalities that work in recovery. This alcohol and drug treatment program also believes that people need individual treatment to be able to stop abusing drugs and alcohol.
As such, NorthStar Transitions specializes in substance abuse counseling approach, cognitive/behavior therapy, contingency management/motivational incentive, rational emotive behavioral therapy, activity therapy, individual psychotherapy and more. At the same time, it accepts clients who are social skills development, persons with eating disorders, treatment for spanish-speaking clients, persons with post-traumatic stress disorder, residential beds for client's children, persons with serious mental illness, and others. This alcohol and drug rehabilitation program uses care methods that can help clients to maintain lasting and permanent sobriety and abstinence from the substances abused in the past.
