Continued Care Following Short Term Drug Rehab in Central City, Colorado

One of the advantages when you go through short term treatment is that you can thereafter ease into long-term treatment. That said, continued care works perfectly for individuals in Central City who have either relapsed or are at risk of relapse because they can immerse themselves in an additional drug-free environment and continue effectively treating their addiction.

After you finish and leave a rehabilitation program, it is likely that you will find yourself near the same surroundings where you previously used drugs prior to going to rehab. This is due to the fact that the same triggers - people, situations, and environment - that can influence you to relapse are still there.

Considering it can be extremely challenging to transition into a new sober life after leaving long-term rehab where you were able to focus on treatment and therapy for several months, you might realize that continuing on with short term rehab in Central City, CO. could potentially help you maintain your newly found abstinence, control, and conceptions against substance abuse and addiction.

During short term rehab, therefore, you will work on how to lead a more positive and healthy lifestyle in spite of any difficulties you may experience. The treatment center will also teach you how to effectively manage your thoughts and behaviors - which could be extremely beneficial in making sure that you are able to handle any stress you encounter.

Additional elements of addiction treatment and continued care include:

  • How to create a more favorable environment at home and work
  • How to recognize triggers and avoid them
  • How to surround yourself with support through community groups, outpatient treatment, and stays at sober living facilities

Last but not least, short term drug rehab will typically have a wide array of rehabilitation components that will help you apply new skills in your life and continue living up to the new principles you learned after you check out of the rehab program.
