Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation and Psychological Care in Castle Pines, Colorado

Even after completing a long-term alcohol and drug drug and alcohol addiction program in Castle Pines, you may still be required to continue with your rehab. However, some individuals might start wondering why they would be required to spend such an extensive period of time in such a program.

For example they may assume that it would be more useful to complete short-term rehabilitation before checking into an intensive outpatient center. Still, even though some addicts have found sobriety through this type of rehabilitation, there are people who would benefit more by spending a number of months in an inpatient center. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who may need additional assistance and support to overcome their drug and alcohol addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to structure their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to begin using again
  • Have co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Begin using harmful and mind-altering substances from a young age
  • Completed addiction treatment but relapse to their previous using patterns

In many instances, long term drug treatment might also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehab. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with drug addiction - by leading individuals to abuse drugs and alcohol or arising from alcohol and drug abuse - often need long term management and rehabilitation.

Through a Castle Pines, CO. long-term center, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your alcohol and drug abuse and any co-occurring mental health condition that you are struggling with.

If you choose short-term rehab, you may find that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and cease taking the medications that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehab makes sense for individuals with co-occurring conditions and who need more intervention.
