List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Facilities In Akron, Colorado

What is Short-Term Drug Rehabilitation in Akron, Colorado

A short term drug rehab facility is most appropriate for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to stop abusing drugs or alcohol but are having some difficulty doing so. When you use alcohol or drugs that are addicting even for a brief duration of time you can become dependent. Drug and alcohol addiction reveals itself when you make the decision to stop taking the substance but you are having difficulty because of the psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you use an addictive drug such as crystal meth cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, rohypnol, concerta or various other addictive substances for even a short duration of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug and alcohol rehab center in Akron could be the right fit.

When you quit addictive drugs abruptly you may experience physical effects known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will produce both psychological and physical symptoms such as weakness, shakiness, clammy skin, craving, feeling cold, sweating, watery eyes, agitation, excitability, irritability, restlessness, delirium, hallucinations, depression, paranoia, severe anxiety etc... Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to continue taking the substance to alleviate the symptoms despite your intent to stop taking the drug. If this describes the situation that you find yourself in, you can find recovery in a short term substance abuse program.

The very first step of a short term treatment program for addiction is the detox process. Medical detoxification is a process that works to manage withdrawal symptoms with medications made to gently and safely wean you off the drug. After detox is complete, you will be given psychological assistance and counseling to help you continue on with your recovery so that you can live a happy, drug-free life. A short term rehab program in Akron, CO is typically 28 to 30 days although the benefits can change your life forever.
