Advantages of Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Wooster, Arkansas

Drug and alcohol addiction to substances such as heroin, methamphetamine, alcohol, crack cocaine or prescription drugs like roxycodone, dilaudid or morphine, when left untreated, can result in an individual losing everything that is meaningful in their life such as their children, jobs, health and even their home. Drug addiction and alcoholism are treatable problems. In fact, people in Wooster, AR recover everyday and attain long term sobriety. While also getting clean and sober, people that enter inpatient addiction treatment facilities also learn how to repair relationships and how to put their lives back together and how they can keep it that way. Because of the bad mental and physical condition that addiction produces in an individual, it can be difficult to think clearly enough to make the logical choice to seek out and enroll into an inpatient addiction treatment facility.

One of the obstacles to starting treatment can be the fear of the withdrawal process when stopping drugs or alcohol. However, there is a good solution for the problem of withdrawal that makes it safe for people to come off of drugs or alcohol. That solution is called detox. Safely getting individuals off drugs or alcohol through a medical detox process is the beginning step of an inpatient addiction treatment program. After detox, there are many vital steps to deal with the psychological and physical problems that accompany alcohol and drug addiction. Completing an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Wooster is worth the benefits that can last the rest of your life.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
