List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers In Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas

Why Long-Term Drug Treatment Works in Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term alcohol and drug treatment in Tumbling Shoals is among the most workable types of drug addiction rehabilitation. This is because statistics show that these programs often have higher success rates and can result in better outcomes in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential facilities will only require you to participate in rehab for a couple of weeks, long term drug and alcohol rehab may last for several months or even go up to a year or longer.

In certain ways, therefore, long term rehabilitation works as a type of halfway house that gives the most vulnerable addicts a period of intensive care. During your stay, therefore, you will be in an environment controlled tightly by physicians and other health care practitioners for a long time. Meaning, that you may experience a higher potential for recovery.

That said, long term drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers in Tumbling Shoals, AR. vary considerably. Whereas some of these programs will provide you with eight hours of counseling per week and permit you to spend 7 hours per day on structured activities, others will offer more activities.

However, most long-term treatment facilities will require you to abide by a set of ethos, norms, and rules - failure to comply might be cause for you to be prematurely expelled from the facility. Still, others are lenient and could even allow you to spend some of the evenings with friends and members of your family, or to go to a job outside the center here and there.

Overall, however, Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas long term drug and alcohol rehab is among the most workable of all types of rehab. This is because addiction is such a chronic and cyclic disorder that demands long term care and oversight - which should continue even after you check out of the rehabilitation center. Long-term treatment could also lower your risk of relapse as well as teach you how to handle life and operate ordinarily by living a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
