List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabs In Tucker, Arkansas

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Tucker, Arkansas

Short term drug rehab is one of the more successful forms of addiction treatment. In particular, it can be useful for individuals in Tucker who cannot attend a long-term rehabilitation program.

Yet, there are many factors you should look into when selecting the rehabilitation center you are thinking about attending. The three main factors include effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Considering that no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have some options to pick from dependent on your particular needs and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehab will have you live within the rehab facility for a few weeks. These facilities are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs but they last much shorter while ensuring that you receive the attention, support, and monitoring to ensure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term treatment will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy while you also continue discovering effective life skills that will allow you to confront any difficult situation you encounter rather than resorting to substance abuse.

Typically, short term rehab in Tucker, AR. will begin with medical detox. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you complete detoxification, the short term rehabilitation center will perform other forms of treatment depending on your particular requirements and preferences. For example, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that might be available in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

These treatment methods can be provided in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, discourage you from substance abuse, and show you ways to make healthier choices so that you do not relapse. You could also learn new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you need to use drugs.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
