List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Sulphur Rock, Arkansas

Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab and Mental Health Care in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas

Upon completion of a long-term alcohol and drug drug addiction program in Sulphur Rock, you may still be required to continue with your rehab. However, some individuals may start wondering why they would be required to spend such an extensive period of time in such a facility.

For example they may assume that it would be more effective to finish short-term treatment before enrolling in an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicts have found success through this form of treatment, there are individuals who would benefit more by spending a number of months in an inpatient center. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who might require additional help and support to overcome their drug addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to structure their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Begin using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Completed drug and alcohol addiction rehab but relapse to their previous using habits

In many instances, long term drug treatment might also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehabilitation. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug addiction - by leading people to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often require long term management and rehab.

Through a Sulphur Rock, AR. long-term center, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your substance abuse and any co-occurring mental health condition that you are suffering from.

If you opt for short-term rehab, you may find that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and stop taking the medications that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation makes sense for individuals with co-occurring conditions and who need more intensive care.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
