List of Long Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In Roe, Arkansas

Long Term Drug Rehabilitation and Psychological Care in Roe, Arkansas

Even after completing a long-term alcohol and drug addiction program in Roe, you might still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some people may start wondering why they would be required to spend such an extensive period of time in such a center.

In particular, they may imagine that it would be more effective to finish short-term rehabilitation before enrolling in an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicts have found success through this form of rehab, there are individuals who would gain more by spending a number of months in an inpatient program. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who might need extra assistance and support to conquer their drug addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs and alcohol of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Begin using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Completed addiction rehabilitation but relapse to their previous using patterns

In many cases, long term drug and alcohol rehab might also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehab. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with drug and alcohol addiction - by leading people to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often need long term management and rehabilitation.

Through a Roe, AR. long-term program, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to overcome both your alcohol and drug abuse and any co-occurring mental health disorder that you are struggling with.

If you opt for short-term treatment, you might find that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and stop taking the prescription drugs that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation makes sense for people with co-occurring conditions and who require more intensive care.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
