Long Term Drug Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care in Onia, Arkansas

Upon completion of a long-term drug drug addiction program in Onia, you might still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some people may begin wondering why they need to spend such an extensive period of time in such a center.

In particular, they may assume that it would be more effective to finish short-term treatment before checking into an intensive outpatient center. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found sobriety through this form of rehabilitation, there are individuals who would gain more by spending several months in an inpatient program. These include addicts with less robust recovery skills as well as those who may need extra assistance and support to conquer their addiction.

These addicts include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs and alcohol of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Start using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Completed addiction rehabilitation but relapse to their old using habits

In many instances, long term alcohol and drug treatment may also be accompanied by extended care and psychological treatment. This is because the mental illnesses often co-occur with addiction - by leading people to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from alcohol and drug abuse - often need long term management and rehabilitation.

Through an Onia, AR. long-term facility, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring psychological condition that you are struggling with.

If you choose short-term treatment, you might find that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and stop taking the prescription drugs that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term drug rehab makes sense for people with co-occurring disorders and who require more intervention.

North Little Rock, AR. 72114

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
