Long Term Drug Rehab and Mental Health Care in Magness, Arkansas

Even after completing a long-term alcohol and drug drug addiction program in Magness, you might still be required to continue with your treatment. However, some individuals may begin wondering why they would be required to spend such an extensive period of time in such a program.

In particular, they may assume that it would be more useful to complete short-term treatment before enrolling in an intensive outpatient center. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found success through this form of rehabilitation, there are people who would gain more by spending a number of months in an inpatient center. These include addicts with weak recovery skills as well as those who might need additional assistance and support to overcome their drug and alcohol addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe areas and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Start using harmful and mind-altering substances from a young age
  • Finished drug and alcohol addiction rehab but relapse to their old using habits

In many instances, long term drug rehabilitation might also be accompanied by extended care and psychological treatment. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with addiction - by leading individuals to abuse drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often need long term management and treatment.

Through a Magness, AR. long-term center, therefore, you will get all the care and help you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring psychological condition that you are suffering from.

If you choose short-term rehabilitation, you might discover that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and stop taking the medications that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehab makes sense for people with co-occurring disorders and who require more intervention.

North Little Rock, AR. 72114

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
