List of Long Term Addiction Treatment Centers In Locust Grove, Arkansas

Why Long-Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Works in Locust Grove, Arkansas

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term alcohol and drug rehabilitation in Locust Grove is among the most workable types of drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation. This is due to the fact that statistics indicate that these programs often have higher rates of success and can result in better results in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential facilities will only require you to take part in rehab for a couple of weeks, long term drug treatment may last for many months and sometimes up to a year or longer.

In some way, therefore, long term treatment works as a type of halfway house that allows the most vulnerable addicts a period of intensive care. During your stay, therefore, you will be in an environment overseen closely by physicians and other health care professionals for a long time. Meaning, that you may enjoy a higher potential for recovery.

That said, long term drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation programs in Locust Grove, AR. vary considerably. Whereas some of these centers will offer 8 hours of counseling weekly and allow you to spend seven hours per day on structured activities, others will provide more activities.

However, most long-term treatment centers will require you to abide by a set of ethos, norms, and rules - failure to comply may be cause for you to be prematurely expelled from the program. Still, others are not as rigid and could even permit you to spend some of the nights with friends and loved ones, or to work outside the program from time to time.

Overall, however, Locust Grove, Arkansas long term drug treatment is among the most workable of all forms of rehab. This is due to the fact that drug addiction is such a chronic and cyclic condition that requires long term care and oversight - which should continue even after you check out of the rehabilitation facility. Long-term rehab could also reduce your risk of relapse as well as teach you how to handle life and operate ordinarily by living a sober lifestyle.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
