Albeit you might be able to find some sobriety by enrolling into short-term rehabilitation lasting for 28 to 30 days, in most instances, you will find that long-term rehabilitation is more effective.

Understanding Long-Term Substance Abuse Rehabilitation

Long term addiction rehabilitation will provide you with a safe and supportive environment where you can concentrate on overcoming your substance abuse problem. This means that you will be separated from your peers, home, and any other situation that could possibly cause you to start using drugs or drinking alcohol again.

During your time in treatment, you will also discover how to pursue rehabilitation and recovery by developing the coping mechanisms and recovery methods that will support your sobriety and abstinence long after you finish rehab.

Although you may be concerned that you will be away from your everyday lifestyle for so long, consider the research and studies that endorse long-term drug and alcohol rehab and you will see that the time spent in one of these programs will be well worth the effort.

How Long-Term Treatment Works

In many instances, long-term addiction rehabilitation is intended to help you overcome your addiction by efficiently cleansing your mind and body of all the intoxicating and mind-altering drugs and alcohol you have been ingesting.

These rehab programs can also help by preparing you on how to manage any cravings and triggers that could potentially prompt you to relapse. Therefore, you might discover that this type of treatment will effectively enable you to refine the recovery methods that will be beneficial when you must to preserve your sobriety and abstain from drugs when faced with triggers.

Nowadays, there are even high end, private rehab programs that provide resort-like amenities, environments, and services. Enrolling in this type of lavish program could possibly make it easier for you to battle your addiction.

Yet, if you don't have the resources to afford these programs, then don't worry. Even a low-cost drug treatment center in Ida, AR. can work wonders if you stay enrolled for a long time until you are entirely in command of your life and no longer addicted to mind-altering substances.

Additionally, most long-term rehabilitation programs will supply round the clock support, supervision, and services by a team of highly trained, knowledgeable, and certified addiction professionals. As such, you will get all the assistance you'll require as you recover from substance abuse.

These programs also function somewhat similar to residential halfway houses - only that you will be monitored more closely to make certain you do not relapse and you receive more comprehensive treatment and therapy.

Although long-term treatment programs range from residential facilities to hospital settings, they will all work to provide you with a safe and supportive atmosphere where you can concentrate on your rehabilitation.

Long-term programs have also been improving and many will offer various types of addiction treatment. For instance, you may be able to enroll in a long term drug and alcohol treatment program that also incorporates holistic methods of addiction recovery, faith-based rehabilitation, among many others.

The facilities might also offer experiential treatment therapies, mediation, nutritional services, exercise, and yoga or other eastern meditative disciplines to accelerate your recovery while ensuring that you learn how to control your cravings and overcome any urges you have to use drugs. These treatment services will further help you to continue recovering emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally - often leading to better outcomes.

Also, the program can provide you with other relapse prevention methods to help you to stay clean and sober after the rehab is done. For example, they may help you to gain new career skills, learn how to budget and take care of your finances, teach you how to plan for job interviews, and help you to develop better habits regarding cleanliness, hygiene and physical appearance.

Since substance abuse influences many different areas of your life, it is crucial that you address every factor related to your substance abuse - over and above the physical aspect of addiction.

While working to make sure that addiction no longer has any significance in your life, therefore, long-term addiction treatment facilities in Ida, Arkansas also work to treat the psychological aspects of substance abuse. This is why these programs provide different types of therapy and counseling.

The length of treatment will be different from one patient to the next determined by various factors. Some of these factors are, the severity and longevity of your addiction, the kinds of substances used, as well as the presence of a co-occurring mental health disorder arising from or exacerbated by your drug addiction.

Advantages of Long-Term Drug Abuse Treatment

Recent research studies have shown that addicts who spend longer in a treatment facility tend to result in higher rates of success. Thus, the longer you are enrolled in the treatment facility, the smoother it will be for you to focus on recovery.

Long term substance abuse rehab in Ida could also provide you with the opportunities to learn how to support your recovery and overcome any triggers that you might encounter in your battle against addiction.

At first, the rehab program will focus on physical detoxification. This will allow you to clear your mind and body of all intoxicating substances (as well as the leftover toxins) that you were ingesting.

Then, you will spend most of the remaining time in therapy handling all the underlying causes of your addiction. To this end, this type of rehab might put you in in a better position to discover all the people, places, and things that caused you to start abusing drugs to begin with. In the process, long-term treatment can teach you other life skills and coping skills that you can utilize to keep yourself from reverting.

As a whole, long-term addiction rehab is the most successful type of recovery particularly if you have a long-standing severe addiction and require more comprehensive rehabilitation to conquer your condition.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
