Long Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Mental Health Care in Fox, Arkansas

Even after completing a long-term drug drug and alcohol addiction program in Fox, you may still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some people might start wondering why they need to spend so long in such a center.

In particular, they may assume that it would be more effective to finish short-term treatment before checking into an intensive outpatient center. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found sobriety through this form of rehabilitation, there are individuals who would gain more by spending several months in an inpatient program. These include addicts with weak recovery skills as well as those who might require additional help and support to conquer their addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs and alcohol of choice
  • Come from unsafe neighborhoods and homes that could tempt them to begin using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Begin using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from a young age
  • Completed drug addiction rehabilitation but relapse to their previous using patterns

In many instances, long term drug rehabilitation may also be accompanied by extended care and psychological rehab. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with addiction - by leading individuals to abuse alcohol and drugs or arising from alcohol and drug abuse - often require long term management and treatment.

Through a Fox, AR. long-term center, therefore, you will receive all the care and support you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring mental health condition that you are struggling with.

If you opt for short-term rehab, you might discover that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your health and wellness, and cease taking the medications that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug treatment makes sense for people with co-occurring disorders and who require more intensive care.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas

North Little Rock, AR. 72114

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
