Understanding Short Term Drug Rehab in Evening Shade, Arkansas

Short term drug and alcohol rehab is among the effective types of addiction treatment. In particular, it can prove helpful for clients in Evening Shade who cannot participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are several things you should consider when choosing the rehab center you are going to attend. The three major concerns include effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal recovery plan will work for all addicts, you will have a few treatment options to choose from subject to your particular needs and desires. One of these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In many instances, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the recovery center for a few weeks. These types of programs are similar to long-term treatment programs except they are quite a bit shorter in duration yet at the same time ensuring that you receive the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you do not relapse.

In particular, short term rehab will vary in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you will receive individual and group therapy and counseling while you also continue discovering more positive life skills that will help you to effectively handle any difficult situation you may experience instead of getting high or drunk.

Typically, short term rehab in Evening Shade, AR. will start with medically managed detox. The duration of the program will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your addiction as well as for how long you have been using.

After you complete the detox step, the rehab facility will utilize other methods of treatment depending on your specific needs and requirements. For example, treatment might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other forms of treatment that might be available through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods can be offered in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, discourage you from substance abuse, and show you ways to make healthier choices so that you do not relapse. You may also learn new coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you have to resort to drugs.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
