List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabs In Cotton Plant, Arkansas

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Cotton Plant, Arkansas

Short term drug rehab is among the successful types of addiction rehab. That is, it can prove beneficial for people in Cotton Plant who cannot participate in a long-term treatment program.

However, there are numerous factors you need to consider while choosing the treatment program you are going to attend. The three primary factors are effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have a few options to decide on depending on your specific needs and preferences. One of these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In many cases, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the recovery facility for a couple of weeks or so. These types of programs are similar to long-term treatment programs except they are quite a bit shorter in duration while making sure that you receive the support, attention, and supervision to ensure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehab will range in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may participate in individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue learning effective life skills and recovery tools that will allow you to confront any problematic situation you may experience instead of resorting to substance abuse.

Usually, short term drug rehab in Cotton Plant, AR. will begin with detoxification. The length of this program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you finish detoxification, the short term rehab center will use other forms of treatment depending on your individual needs. For instance, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other treatment methods that may be offered through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these recovery techniques may be performed in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from continued drug use, and show you ways to make healthier decisions so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You could also discover helpful coping strategies and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
