Do I Need Long Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Cleveland, Arkansas?

What is an addictive or psychoactive drug? An addictive or psychoactive drug is a substance such as heroin, crack, meth, lortab, dilaudid, amytal etc... that acts predominantly upon the central nervous system where it alters brain activity, which causes temporary changes in perception, mood, alertness and demeanor. Addictive substances also alter the personalities of the individuals that use them and these changes in personality and behavior are most often very detrimental and troublesome. When a person starts to use an addictive drug they typically feel an artificial feeling of euphoria caused by the drug. When used daily for an extended amount of time the individual will develop an addiction to the substance. Addiction can cause a horrific nightmare in a persons life. A person never purposefully tries to create this suffering, known as addiction, on themselves, rather the person was simply unaware of the long term consequences and they could only notice the pleasure it appeared to bring in the beginning and they thought it would always be like that.

Luckily there are solutions for those in Cleveland, Arkansas struggling with substance abuse problems. A long term addiction requires a comprehensive inpatient recovery plan. Addiction is an issue that can be handled but it's not resolved overnight. The most successful method employed to resolve alcohol and drug addiction today is long term residential rehab. Just as no one purposefully tries to develop an addiction to substances, no one has to go on being addicted if they receive the professional help that they need to resolve the issue.

Acquiring professional treatment for your loved one can repair their life and restore peace and serenity to families.

If you have attempted to help an addicted person on your own and have failed, here are some of the advantages of getting professional help for a loved one's substance abuse problem.

  • It places them into a safe and supportive supervised setting.
  • The disarray that always accompanies addiction will subside for everyone once the person goes to the recovery program.
  • The cost of addiction is usually far greater than the cost of rehab.
  • The individual will obtain 24 hr care including medical services through the detoxification process.
  • The person will receive the help and support that is needed to repair their life.
  • They will learn how to repair the destruction that they have done to everyone around them.
  • They will learn recovery skills and tools that are essential to recovery.
  • They will learn who they really are again and regain self worth again.
  • Physiological and emotional counseling offers enduring benefits for a lasting recovery.
  • The individual will learn to spot drug use triggers and how to control them rather than relapsing.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
