Long Term Drug Rehabilitation and Psychological Care in Cave City, Arkansas

Upon completion of a long-term drug and alcohol drug addiction program in Cave City, you may still be required to continue with your rehabilitation. However, some people might begin wondering why they need to spend so long in such a facility.

In particular, they may assume that it would be more effective to finish short-term rehabilitation before checking into an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicts have found success through this form of rehabilitation, there are individuals who would gain more by spending several months in an inpatient center. These include addicted individuals with weak recovery skills as well as those who might require additional help and support to conquer their drug addiction.

These addicted individuals include those who:

  • Are utterly unable to function in their lives without abusing their alcohol and drugs of choice
  • Come from unsafe areas and homes that could tempt them to start using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological conditions
  • Begin using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Completed drug addiction rehab but relapse to their old using habits

In many instances, long term alcohol and drug treatment may also be accompanied by extended care and psychological rehab. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with drug and alcohol addiction - by leading people to abuse drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often require long term management and treatment.

Through a Cave City, AR. long-term program, therefore, you will get all the care and help you need to conquer both your drug and alcohol abuse and any co-occurring psychological disorder that you are struggling with.

If you choose short-term rehabilitation, you may find that you particularly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and stop taking the medications that doctors recommended to you. This is why long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation makes sense for people with co-occurring conditions and who need more intensive care.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas

North Little Rock, AR. 72114

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
