List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs In Carlisle, Arkansas

Do I Need Long Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Carlisle, Arkansas?

What is an addictive or psychoactive drug? An addictive or psychoactive drug is a drug such as heroin, cocaine, meth, lortab, sonata, amytal etc... that works primarily upon the central nervous system where it alters brain function, which results in temporary changes in awareness, feeling, alertness and demeanor. Psychoactive substances also change the personalities of the individuals that use them and these changes in personality and behavior are most often extremely detrimental and undesirable. When a person starts to use a psychoactive drug they typically feel a false feeling of euphoria caused by the drug. When used daily for a prolonged amount of time the individual will become addicted to the substance. Addiction will usually cause a horrific nightmare in a persons life. No one purposefully tries to produce this misery, known as addiction, on themselves, rather the person was simply ignorant of the long term consequences and they could only identify the euphoria it appeared to bring at first and they thought it would stay that way.

Luckily there are solutions for those in Carlisle, Arkansas suffering with alcoholism or drug addiction. A chronic addiction requires a long term inpatient rehabilitation plan. Addiction is a problem that can be handled but it's not resolved overnight. The most successful method employed to treat alcohol and drug addiction today is long term residential rehab. Just as no one intends to develop an addiction to drugs, no one has to go on being addicted if they receive the professional rehabilitation that they need to resolve the issue.

Acquiring professional treatment for your loved one can repair their life and recover peace and serenity to families.

If you have tried to help a loved one on your own without professional assistance and have failed, here are the many benefits of getting treatment for a loved one's alcohol and/or drug addiction.

  • It puts them into a safe and supportive therapeutic community.
  • The disarray that customarily goes along with addiction will subside for everybody once the person is in the recovery program.
  • The cost of addiction far outweighs the cost of treatment.
  • The person will be provided 24 hour care including medically monitored services through the detoxification process.
  • The individual will receive the help and support that they need to get their life back on track.
  • They will learn how to accept responsibility for the destruction that they have done to themselves and their loved ones.
  • The person will learn the life and coping skills are essential to recovery.
  • The person will learn who they really are again and see the goodness in themselves.
  • Physiological and emotional counseling provides enduring advantages for a lasting recovery.
  • The person will learn to spot drug use triggers and how to control them rather than giving in to relapse.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock.
