KAR House is dedicated to helping anyone with a drug or alcohol abuse problem in Kasaan, Alaska and its surrounding areas find complete recovery. It offers several programs - such as long term rehab centers, short term addiction treatment facilities, inpatient detox facilities, outpatient substance abuse counseling, inpatient treatment centers and others - in keeping with its philosophy of the addiction care and rehab modalities that work in recovery. This addiction treatment program also believes that clients need individual care and treatment to be able to maintain their sobriety.
As such, KAR House has specialized in cognitive/behavior therapy, trauma therapy, relapse prevention, activity therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy and more. Similarly, it accepts clients who are clients with HIV/AIDS, persons with eating disorders, domestic violence, programs for the hearing impaired, veterans, child care for clients children, and others. This alcohol and drug treatment program uses care modalities that can help clients to maintain abstinence from the substances of abuse that they have used in the past.
In terms of payment, clients in KAR House can pay for services using cash or self-payment, private insurance, payment assistance, military insurance, state welfare or child and family services funds, access to recovery (atr) voucher and others.
