McDowell Center is devoted to helping the people of Cooter, Missouri and the surrounding areas to getting their sobriety back after battling with alcohol and drug addiction. As such, McDowell Center accommodates a wide collection of services in line with their philosophy of treatments that work - including inpatient treatment programs, short term treatment facilities, long term drug and alcohol rehab facilities, outpatient detoxification centers, outpatient hospital programs and others.
McDowell Center also feels that it is vital that every individual gets specific treatments that are tailored to their needs to help ensure treatment is a success. This is why it is specialized in a wide variety of treatment methods, including group therapy, relapse prevention, matrix model, 12-step facilitation approach, contingency management/motivational incentive, trauma-related counseling and others. Additionally, McDowell Center is specialized in active duty military, housing services, persons with serious mental illness, clients referred from the court/judicial system, persons with eating disorders, legal advocacy, as well as other special programs. In general, the treatment services that this drug and alcohol treatment program uses aims to provide positive and lasting change for each individual.
