List of Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities In Springhill, Louisiana

How Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Works in Springhill, Louisiana

If you have been grappling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient alcohol and drug treatment may not prove to be enough for you. Before you seek treatment for your substance abuse, you must first complete detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient alcohol and drug treatment facility will begin the real work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work better if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a staying in an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab center. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with minimal supervision.

When you enter into an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program in Springhill, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • One-on-one therapy session
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Diet Management
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Recreational therapy
  • Training in relapse prevention techniques
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient treatment does not demand that you live inside the facility, it means that you might need to dedicate yourself to sobriety so that the program proves fruitful in the long run. You should also desire sobriety and abstain from drugs without any monitoring or assistance.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you might find that outpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will get help and care at home so that you can continue focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the temptations you may have encountered in the past.
