List of Outpatient Addiction Treatment Programs In Powhatan, Louisiana

How Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Works in Powhatan, Louisiana

If you have been battling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol rehab might not prove suitable for you. Before you seek treatment for your condition, you must first go through detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program will start the real work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work better if you have already completed another form of treatment - such as a participating in an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment facility. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can easily pursue treatment and recovery by yourself.

When you enter into an outpatient alcohol and drug rehab center in Powhatan, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Counseling with Family
  • Group therapy and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • One-on-one therapy session
  • Prescribed medication management for poly-substance addiction diagnoses
  • Diet Management
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient rehab does not require that you live inside the center, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to sobriety so that the program proves successful in the long run. You should also aim for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or care.

As long as your surroundings are conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will get support and assistance at home so that you can carry on focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you might have run into in the past.
