List of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs In Pelican, Louisiana

How Outpatient Drug Rehabilitation Works in Pelican, Louisiana

If you have been battling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment may not prove useful for you. Before you look for treatment for your condition, you must first complete detoxification to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient addiction treatment center will begin the official work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a staying in an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery with little to no supervision.

When you enroll in an outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program in Pelican, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy and individual meetings for support and encouragement
  • Individual therapy and counseling
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Nutritional coaching
  • One on one therapy sessions with licensed treatment counselors
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Transitional living

Since outpatient rehabilitation does not require that you reside inside the facility, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves fruitful in the long run. You should also pursue sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or care.

As long as your environment is conducive to your recovery, you might find that outpatient drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will receive help and assistance at home so that you can continue focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the pitfalls you may have encountered in the past.
