List of Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers In Grand Cane, Louisiana

How Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Works in Grand Cane, Louisiana

If you have been battling with a severe substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation might not prove useful for you. Before you look for treatment for your substance abuse, you must first complete detox to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient drug and alcohol rehab facility will start the real work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work better if you have already completed another form of rehab - such as a staying in an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment program. You should also be considered medically stable enough that you can easily pursue treatment and recovery with little to no assistance and monitoring.

When you begin an outpatient addiction treatment center in Grand Cane, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Family therapy sessions
  • Group counseling and support meetings
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Organization and management of prescribed medications for co-occurring disorders
  • Nutrition and diet management
  • One to one counseling and therapy with trained addiction treatment and/or mental health expert
  • Recreational therapy
  • Relapse Prevention Skills
  • Transitional living

Since outpatient rehabilitation does not demand that you live inside the facility, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to recovery so that the program proves worthwhile in the long run. You should also strive for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or care.

As long as your living situation and environment is conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the best option. This is because you will get help and assistance at home so that you can carry on focusing on overcoming your addiction - with none of the temptations you might have run into in the past.
