Understanding Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment in Skull Valley, Arizona

To stop yourself from turning back to your previous drug and alcohol use habits as well as address any co-occurring psychological disorder you may have, you might find that you need to do the following:

  • Develop new approaches you can utilize to address your disorder
  • Identify all life problems that may exacerbate your mental health problems and work through them
  • Identify the impact and effects of your drug and alcohol addiction on your life
  • Develop ways to stop yourself from giving in to the temptation to start abusing alcohol and drugs
  • Develop ways to address any reemergence of the symptoms of your drug and alcohol abuse
  • Understand your addiction as a process and concept

Since there are a lot of things for you to grasp, you might find it more useful to spend more time in a Skull Valley addiction treatment facility. Although short-term drug and alcohol rehab might also offer a foundation for your rehab, it might not have ample support to ensure that you retain these lessons and start applying them in your life.

In such situations, therefore, you may benefit from long term drug rehab. In many cases, this type of drug addiction rehabilitation is offered on an inpatient or residential basis to ensure that you are in a supportive environment free of all triggers that could cause you to begin abusing intoxicating substances.

Throughout long term rehabilitation, therefore, you will get the intensive care and support you need for an extended period of time. As such, the services will help you lay the foundation that you can rely on to achieve sobriety in the long run.

Overall, long term drug and alcohol rehab will offer round the clock oversight, care, and management over an extended period. At the end of the drug and alcohol addiction rehab in Skull Valley, AZ., you should have acquired enough information and skills to begin leading a more productive, sober life.

Mingus Mountain Academy is a Joint Commission accredited residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls. Founded in 1985, the Academy is located on a 120-acre campus surrounded by National Forest, 25 minutes from the town of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Our ability to motivate the girls toward a positive, healthy future is a large factor in our success. To this end, our program combines a positive peer culture, caring staff, careful medical treatment, individualized psychotherapy and education, and numerous activities including our unique equestrian program. The peer culture uses the power of positive peer influence to address behavioral problems. Because many of the students who come to us have experienced significant trauma, our treatment team is specially trained to address these issues within our safe, structured, and nurturing environment. An emphasis on family therapy fosters successful reunification with families. Four therapeutic group homes give students the opportunity to re-enter society, living in nearby communities and getting part time jobs if they wish, while continuing their treatment and education on campus.
