At the Illinois Youth Center/Joliet, I performed clinical counseling in a maximum-security setting to both gang-related youths and their families. In addition, I provided counseling services for Arizona State Prison and later, for New Arizona Family, Inc. in Phoenix as a behavioral health professional in the role of Board Certified and State Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC).
