Since 1981, BCD has served the disadvantaged of Little Rock's 12th Street Corridor. Originally founded as Black Community Developers, an outreach program of Theresa Hoover United Methodist Church, in 2010, the organization changed its name to Better Community Development to reflect the inclusive nature of BCD's programs.
