VA Portland Healthcare System administers a wide variety of services in line with their belief of treatments that work - including inpatient drug treatment, short term drug and alcohol rehabs, intensive outpatient treatment, detoxification centers, long term drug treatment and others.
VA Portland Healthcare System also feels that it is of the upmost importance that every individual gets specific treatments that are tailored to their needs to help ensure treatment is a success. This is why it is specialized in a wide variety of treatment modalities, including couple/family therapy, 12-step facilitation approach, trauma-related counseling, individual psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy, brief intervention approach and others. In addition, VA Portland Healthcare System is specialized in active duty military, persons with serious mental illness, suicide prevention services, seniors or older adults, clients with HIV/AIDS, treatment for spanish-speaking clients, as well as other special programs. In general, the treatment methods that this drug and alcohol treatment program uses aims to provide positive and lasting change for each individual.
