List of Short Term Addiction Treatment Programs In Purlear, North Carolina

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Purlear, North Carolina

Short term drug rehab is one of the more successful types of addiction treatment. In particular, it might prove helpful for people in Purlear who cannot go to a long-term treatment program.

Although, there are several things you need to look into while deciding on the rehab center you are thinking about attending. The three major concerns encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Whereas no universal recovery plan will work for everyone, you will have several treatment options to decide on dependent on your particular requirements and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most instances, short term rehabilitation will have you reside within the recovery center for a few weeks. These types of programs are similar to long-term addiction treatment but they are quite a bit shorter yet at the same time ensuring that you receive the attention, support, and monitoring to ensure you stay sober.

Specifically, short term treatment will vary in duration from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group therapy and counseling while you also start learning effective life skills that will empower you to deal with any tempting situation you encounter instead of getting high or drunk.

In most cases, short term drug rehab in Purlear, NC. will begin with detoxification. The program duration will primarily depend on the severity of your addiction as well as for how long you have been using.

After you are done with the detox step, the short term rehab center will perform other methods of treatment depending on your individual requirements and preferences. For example, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that might be available through short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods may be offered to help shape your way of thinking, prevent you from continued substance abuse, and teach you ways to make healthier decisions so that you don't relapse. You may also discover new coping skills and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you have to use drugs.
