Shoemaker Center is devoted to helping the community of Glenelg and the surrounding areas to find full recovery after a period of struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. As such, Shoemaker Center provides a wide collection of services in line with their belief of treatments that work - including long term drug treatment, short term rehab facilities, outpatient day treatment, inpatient detox facilities, inpatient addiction treatment centers and others.
Shoemaker Center also feels that it is vital that every individual client gets highly personalized services to ensure their recovery. This is why it is specialized in a wide variety of treatment modalities, including individual psychotherapy, couple/family therapy, trauma-related counseling, anger management, dialectical behavior therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy and others. Additionally, Shoemaker Center is specialized in treatment for spanish-speaking clients, self-help groups, programs for the hearing impaired, child care for clients children, residential beds for client's children, clients with HIV/AIDS, as well as other special programs. In general, the treatment services that this alcohol and drug treatment program uses aims to provide positive and lasting change for each individual.
Lastly, Shoemaker Center accepts private pay, private medical insurance, military insurance, payment assistance, other state funds, access to recovery (atr) voucher and more.
