Continued Care Following Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Breda, Iowa

One of the benefits you stand to gain when you finish short term drug rehabilitation is that you can thereafter transition into long-term rehab. Therefore, continued care is appropriate for individuals in Breda who have relapsed or are at risk of relapse because they can surround themselves in an additional drug-free setting and continue effectively battling their addiction.

After you finish and leave a rehabilitation program, it is possible that you will encounter the same surroundings where you used to abuse drugs prior to going to treatment. This is due to the fact that the same triggers - people, places, and things - that could provoke you to start using again will still be there.

Considering it can be extremely difficult to transition into the "real world" after completing long-term treatment where you were able to focus on healing and therapy for several months, you may realize that going to short term addiction treatment in Breda, IA. may potentially help you sustain your newly found abstinence, resolve, and conceptions against substance abuse and addiction.

Throughout short term rehab, therefore, you will discover how to have a more positive and healthy way of life in spite of any challenging situations you might experience. The program will also teach you how to effectively manage your thoughts and behaviors - which can prove useful in ensuring that you can deal with any stress you encounter.

Additional components of addiction treatment and continued care include:

  • How to recognize triggers and avoid them
  • How to surround yourself with support through community groups, outpatient treatment, and stays at sober living facilities
  • How to create a more favorable environment at home and work

Last but not least, short term drug and alcohol treatment will have a wide array of treatment methods that will help you use new skills in your life and continue living up to the new principles you learned once you leave the rehab facility.
