List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Wilkesboro, North Carolina

What is Short-Term Rehabilitation in Wilkesboro, North Carolina

A short term drug and alcohol rehab is best suited for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to stop using but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that are addicting even for a short duration of time you can become dependent. Drug and alcohol dependence reveals itself when you decide you are going to stop using the substance but you are unable to due to physical and/or psychological withdrawal symptoms. If you use a habit forming substance such as meth crack, heroin, oxycontin, soma, lunesta or various other addictive substances for even a short amount of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Wilkesboro could be the appropriate choice.

When you discontinue addictive substances abruptly you may develop physical effects known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can produce both physical and psychological symptoms such as shakiness, weakness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, watery eyes, agitation, irritability, excitability, restlessness, delirium, depression, hallucinations, severe anxiety, paranoia and more. Withdrawal symptoms can induce urges to continue taking the substance to relieve the symptoms even though you really desire to discontinue using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you could receive effective help from a short term drug and alcohol rehab.

The first step of a short term rehab center for addiction is detoxification. Medical detoxification is a process that works to manage withdrawal symptoms with medications designed to gently and safely wean you off the substance. After detoxification is finished, you will receive therapeutic help and education to help you maintain your recovery so that you may live a productive, clean & sober life. A short term rehab program in Wilkesboro, NC is usually only 28 to 30 days in length and the benefits can be life-changing for the whole family.
