List of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities In State Road, North Carolina

How Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab Works in State Road, North Carolina

If you have been grappling with an extreme substance use disorder and addiction, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment may not prove suitable for you. Before you look for treatment for your addiction, you must first go through detox to rid your body completely of the substances you were abusing.

After the detox stage, the outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program will start the real work of therapy and recovery. In fact, these programs work best if you have already completed another form of care - such as a participating in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility. You should also be deemed medically stable enough that you can comfortably pursue treatment and recovery without the need of constant monitoring.

When you enroll in an outpatient alcohol and drug rehab in State Road, the following services will be provided every week:

  • Therapy sessions with Family
  • Group counseling and support meetings
  • Individual therapy and counseling
  • Medication management, which might be required if you have a co-occurring disorder or have been diagnosed with polysubstance addiction
  • Diet Management
  • One to one counseling and therapy with trained addiction treatment and/or mental health expert
  • Exercise related therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • Sober living housing, where required

Since outpatient rehabilitation does not require that you live inside the facility, it means that you may need to dedicate yourself to sobriety so that the program proves successful in the long run. You should also aim for sobriety and abstain from drugs without any supervision or care.

As long as your environment is conducive to your recovery, you may find that outpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is the best option. This is because you will get help and assistance at home so that you can carry on focusing on beating your addiction - with none of the temptations you might have encountered in the past.

Hope Valley, Inc. was established as a private, non-profit corporation for treatment and care of alcoholics. The impetus for the program came from private citizens in Surry County who wanted to provide people with alcohol problems a way to become productive citizens. At the request of these citizens, Bryant and Marion Bivins came to Dobson, NC from Durham where Mr. Bivins served as Director of the Damascus Home, a home for alcoholics. They opened the first facility, our Men's Division, in 1968. In 1970, a separate facility for women was opened. In 1986, our services were again expanded to serve drug dependent clients.
