List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs In Scotts, North Carolina

Understanding Short Term Drug Rehabilitation in Scotts, North Carolina

Short term drug rehab is one of the more successful forms of addiction rehabilitation. That is, it might be beneficial for people in Scotts who cannot participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Yet, there are a few things you should look into while choosing the treatment facility you are thinking about attending. The three primary concerns encompass effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Because no universal recovery plan will work for everyone, you will have a few options to pick from depending on your particular needs and preferences. Among these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In most instances, short term rehab will require that you reside within the recovery facility for a few weeks. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs except they are much shorter in duration while ensuring that you get the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you do not relapse.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will vary in length from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy while you also continue learning more positive life skills that will empower you to deal with any tempting situation you encounter as opposed to reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Usually, short term addiction treatment in Scotts, NC. will start with detoxification. The program duration will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with detox, the treatment center will use other types of treatment tailored to your individual needs and requirements. For example, treatment might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatment components may help hold you accountable as you try to overcome your recovery.

Other forms of treatment that might be available in short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These treatment methods can be provided to help modify your behavior, deter you from substance abuse, and show you ways to make positive choices so that you do not fall back into substance abuse. You might also discover helpful coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you don't feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
