List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities In Lowell, North Carolina

Why Long-Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Works in Lowell, North Carolina

NIDA, or the National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that long term alcohol and drug treatment in Lowell is among the most effective forms of drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This is because statistics show that these facilities often boast higher rates of success and can result in better results in the long run.

Whereas short-term residential facilities will only require you to participate in rehab for a couple of weeks, long term drug treatment may last for several months or even go up to a year or longer.

In certain ways, therefore, long term treatment works as a sort of halfway house that allows the most vulnerable addicted individuals a time period of intensive care. While there, therefore, you will be in an environment controlled tightly by physicians and other health care professionals for a long time. This means that you may experience a higher potential for recovery.

That said, long term drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facilities in Lowell, NC. vary considerably. Whereas some of these centers will provide you with eight hours of counseling per week and allow you to spend 7 hours daily on structured activities, others will provide more activities.

However, most long-term treatment programs will require you follow a set of ethos, norms, and regulations - failure to comply may be cause for you to be formally discharged from the program. Still, others are lenient and could even permit you to spend some of the evenings with friends and loved ones, or to work outside the program from time to time.

Overall, however, Lowell, North Carolina long term drug and alcohol rehab is among the most workable of all forms of treatment. This is because drug addiction is such a chronic and cyclic condition that demands long term care and monitoring - which should persist on even after you check out of the rehabilitation program. Long-term rehabilitation could also lower your risk of relapse in addition to teaching you how to function and operate ordinarily by living a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.
