List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Lawsonville, North Carolina

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Lawsonville, North Carolina

Short term drug and alcohol rehab is among the effective forms of substance abuse rehab. In particular, it may prove useful for individuals in Lawsonville who cannot participate in a long-term rehabilitation program.

Although, there are numerous things you should consider while choosing the rehabilitation center you are thinking about attending. The three primary concerns include cost, success rates/effectiveness, and time.

Whereas no universal treatment method will work for all addicts, you will have several options to pick from subject to your specific needs and preferences. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will have you reside within the recovery center for a few weeks. These programs are similar to long-term treatment programs except they last much shorter yet at the same time making sure that you get the attention, support, and monitoring that will guarantee you do not relapse.

In particular, short term rehabilitation will vary in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you may receive individual and group therapy and counseling while you also continue discovering more positive life skills that will help you to effectively handle any tempting situation you may run into as opposed to getting high or drunk.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Lawsonville, NC. will begin with medical detox. The length of this program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with detox, the rehabilitation center will use other forms of treatment depending on your individual requirements and preferences. For instance, the program may use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that might be available through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods can be provided to help modify your behavior, discourage you from drug use, and show you how to make healthier decisions so that you do not relapse. You might also discover new coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you have to use drugs.
