List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs In Fleetwood, North Carolina

What is Short-Term Drug Rehab in Fleetwood, North Carolina

A short term drug and alcohol rehab facility is best suited for short term substance users or abuser's that wish to quit abusing drugs or alcohol but are finding it difficult to do so. When you use substances that form dependence/addiction even for a brief period of time you can become addicted. Drug and alcohol dependence manifests itself when you make the decision to stop using the substance but you are unable to because of the physical and/or psychological withdrawal symptoms. If you abuse an addictive drug such as crystal meth crack cocaine, heroin, norco, sonata, hydrocodone or various other addictive drugs for even a short duration of time you may have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug and alcohol treatment program in Fleetwood could be the right fit.

When you discontinue addictive substances suddenly you may develop physical effects known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can produce both physical and psychological symptoms such as shakiness, weakness, craving, clammy skin, feeling cold, sweating, agitation, crying, excitability, irritability, restlessness, delirium, depression, hallucinations, paranoia, severe anxiety etc... Withdrawal symptoms can bring about compulsions to keep using the substance to relieve the symptoms even though you really desire to stop using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you can benefit from the assistance of a short term drug rehabilitation facility.

The very first step of a short term treatment center for addiction is detoxification. Medical detoxification is a process that works to manage withdrawal symptoms with medications made to gently and safely ease you off the drug. After detox is done, you will be given psychological support and education to help you maintain your recovery so that you can live a happy, drug-free life. A short term addiction treatment program in Fleetwood, NC is typically 28 to 30 days and the end results can change your life forever.

Hope Valley, Inc. was established as a private, non-profit corporation for treatment and care of alcoholics. The impetus for the program came from private citizens in Surry County who wanted to provide people with alcohol problems a way to become productive citizens. At the request of these citizens, Bryant and Marion Bivins came to Dobson, NC from Durham where Mr. Bivins served as Director of the Damascus Home, a home for alcoholics. They opened the first facility, our Men's Division, in 1968. In 1970, a separate facility for women was opened. In 1986, our services were again expanded to serve drug dependent clients.
