List of Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers In Dunnell, Minnesota

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Dunnell, Minnesota

Short term drug rehab is one of the more effective forms of addiction rehab. That is, it might prove appropriate for clients in Dunnell who cannot attend a long-term rehab program.

Although, there are several things you need to look into when choosing the rehabilitation facility you are going to attend. The three primary concerns include effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal treatment method will work for everyone, you will have several options to decide on dependent on your specific needs and preferences. One of these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will have you reside within the recovery facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term addiction treatment but they are quite a bit shorter in duration yet at the same time making sure that you obtain the attention, support, and supervision to ensure you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term treatment will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you will receive individual and group counseling while you also continue learning more positive life skills and recovery tools that will empower you to effectively handle any difficult situation you encounter rather than reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Dunnell, MN. will begin with medical detox. The program length will mainly depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been using.

After you are done with detoxification, the rehabilitation program will perform other methods of treatment tailored to your specific requirements and preferences. For example, the program might use the 12 step method to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other treatment methods that might be available in short term rehabilitation include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These treatment methods can be used in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, discourage you from continued drug use, and show you how to make positive choices so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You may also discover new coping strategies and help you to reduce anxiety, so you do not feel you have to resort to drugs.
