Seafarers is dedicated to helping any person with a drug or alcohol use disorder in Allen and its surrounding areas find complete recovery. It offers several programs - such as inpatient drug and alcohol rehabs, short term drug and alcohol rehab centers, detox facilities, long term rehabs, outpatient substance abuse treatment services and others - in line with its philosophy of the recovery care and rehabilitation methods that are effective in recovery. This alcohol and drug treatment program also believes that people require individual treatment to be able to maintain their sobriety.
As such, Seafarers specializes in trauma-related counseling, 12-step facilitation approach, relapse prevention, dual diagnosis drug rehab, cognitive/behavior therapy, group therapy and more. At the same time, it accepts clients who are persons with eating disorders, substance abuse education, persons with serious mental illness, domestic violence, programs for the hearing impaired, transgender or (LGBT) clients, and others. This alcohol and drug treatment facility uses treatment methods that can assist patients to maintain sobriety and abstinence from the substances abused in the past.
In terms of payment, clients in Seafarers can pay for services using private pay, private health insurance, payment assistance, sliding fee scale, state corrections or juvenile justice funds, access to recovery (atr) voucher and others.
