List of Short Term Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities In Sheldon, Iowa

Making Short Term Drug Treatment Work in Sheldon, Iowa

Typically, completing short term drug or alcohol rehab means that you need to follow up with aftercare services such as making use of group counseling and individualized therapy. Usually, recovery from addiction is a long-term ambition. Therefore you might want to continue with your treatment in other settings for some time - depending on your health, strength, and level of abstinence and recovery.

As such, the step-down method after completing a short term drug treatment program will consist of additional methods of treatment, including but not limited to:

  • Intensive outpatient programs (IOP)
  • Partial hospitalization programs (PHP)
  • Halfway houses
  • Sober living homes
  • Support groups
  • Outpatient treatments

In fact, even after you have completed a short term treatment center and have started a new healthy and drug-free lifestyle, you will still want continued support. You might discover these in group contexts, such as by going to 12-step meetings, or in an individualized atmosphere like one on one counseling and outpatient counseling.

As a rule, the longer you stay committed to the treatment protocol, the better your chances of successful recovery will be.

As you strive for abstinence and structure in your life, you will want to take the time to find a good short term rehab center in Sheldon in accordance with your exact needs and preferences.

While trying to find a short term rehab center you may want to consider the following factors:

  • The cost of treatment
  • The type and severity of your addiction
  • If the facility accepts insurance
  • The location of the facility
  • The length of the treatment programs
  • If you are suffering from any co-occurring physical and mental health disorders
  • The length of the treatment programs
