Dougherty County Mental Health is committed to helping any person with a drug or alcohol use problem in Cuthbert and its surrounding areas find full recovery. It offers several services - such as long term rehabs, outpatient substance abuse treatment services, short term drug addiction treatment, inpatient drug and alcohol rehab programs, outpatient detoxification centers and others - in keeping with its philosophy of the addiction care and rehab methods that work in recovery. This addiction treatment program also believes that clients need individual treatment and care to be able to stop abusing drugs and alcohol.
As such, Dougherty County Mental Health specializes in motivational interviewing, matrix model, dialectical behavior therapy, brief intervention approach, trauma-related counseling, trauma therapy and more. At the same time, it accepts patients who are transgender or (LGBT) clients, child care for clients children, clients referred from the court/judicial system, active duty military, clients with HIV/AIDS, residential beds for client's children, and others.
