List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs In Denver, Colorado

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Denver, Colorado

Short term drug rehabilitation is one of the more effective types of substance abuse rehabilitation. Notably, it might prove useful for people in Denver who are unable to go to a long-term rehab program.

However, there are many factors you should consider while choosing the rehab center you are going to attend. The three major factors are effectiveness/success rates, cost, and program duration.

Considering that no universal treatment plan will work for all addicts, you will have several options to pick from depending on your specific requirements and preferences. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol treatment.

In many cases, short term rehab will require that you live within the rehab program for a few weeks. These programs are somewhat comparable to long-term rehab programs but they last much shorter in duration while making sure that you receive the attention, support, and supervision to make sure you stay sober.

Specifically, short term rehabilitation will range in duration from 14 days to about 6 weeks. During this time, you can benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue discovering effective life skills that will empower you to deal with any tempting situation you may run into rather than reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Denver, CO. will begin with medically managed detox. The duration of the program will primarily depend on the severity of your substance abuse as well as for how long you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with the detox step, the rehabilitation facility will perform other forms of treatment depending on your specific requirements and preferences. For instance, treatment may use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to take advantage of peer support. These treatments may help hold you accountable as you work through your recovery.

Other treatment approaches that may be offered through short term rehab include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

These recovery techniques may be used in short term drug rehab to help modify your behavior, deter you from continued drug use, and show you how to make positive decisions so that you do not relapse. You could also learn new coping methods and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you need to abuse drugs or alcohol.
