List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs In Cherry Hills Village, Colorado

Understanding Short Term Drug Treatment in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado

Short term drug and alcohol rehabilitation is one of the more effective types of addiction treatment. That is, it might prove helpful for people in Cherry Hills Village who are unable to attend a long-term treatment program.

However, there are many things you need to consider while choosing the rehabilitation program you are going to attend. The three primary concerns include effectiveness/success rates, cost, and time.

Whereas no universal recovery plan will work for everyone, you will have a few options to decide on dependent on your specific needs and desires. Among these options is short term drug and alcohol rehab.

In most cases, short term rehabilitation will have you live within the recovery program for a couple of weeks or so. These types of programs are similar to long-term treatment programs except they last much shorter while making sure that you get the support, attention, and supervision that will guarantee you do not relapse.

Specifically, short term rehab will vary in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you will benefit from individual and group counseling even as you start learning more positive life skills that will help you to confront any problematic situation you may experience as opposed to reaching for drugs or alcohol.

In most cases, short term addiction treatment in Cherry Hills Village, CO. will start with medically managed detox. The duration of the program will primarily depend on the dose and frequency of your drug or alcohol use as well as the length of time you have been abusing drugs or alcohol.

After you are done with detoxification, the rehabilitation program will use other forms of treatment tailored to your specific needs. For instance, the program might use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatment components will hold you accountable as you work through your addiction.

Other forms of treatment that might be offered through short term treatment include:

  • Art therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Group counseling
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Nature therapy
  • Medication
  • Yoga
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression

All these treatment methods can be used in short term drug rehab to help shape your way of thinking, deter you from continued substance abuse, and teach you how to make healthier decisions so that you don't relapse. You might also learn helpful coping skills and help you to reduce anxiety, so you don't feel you have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
