Originally known as the Lost Heads Ranch, the facility consisted of just one building and less than 20 beds. After Rick Mesa joined the staff, and with the help of Betty Ford, Leonard Firestone and their philanthropic friends, The Ranch Recovery Centers has grown to the program it is today. Today, more than 40 years later, The Ranch Recovery Centers has four distinct properties where we can help more than 100 clients in various stages of recovery at the same time. We are one of the few non-profit treatment programs in California.
