Long Term Drug Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care in Artesia, California

Even after completing a long-term alcohol and drug drug and alcohol addiction program in Artesia, you might still be required to continue with your treatment. However, some people might start wondering why they need to spend so long in such a facility.

For example they may imagine that it would be more effective to complete short-term rehab before checking into an intensive outpatient facility. Still, even though some addicted individuals have found sobriety through this type of treatment, there are individuals who would gain more by spending several months in an inpatient program. These include addicted individuals with less robust recovery skills as well as those who might need additional assistance and support to conquer their drug addiction.

These addicts include those who:

  • Are entirely unable to function in their lives without abusing their drugs and alcohol of choice
  • Come from unsafe areas and homes that could tempt them to begin using again
  • Have co-occurring psychological disorders
  • Start using intoxicating and mind-altering substances from an early age
  • Finished addiction treatment but relapse to their previous using patterns

In many instances, long term drug rehab might also be accompanied by extended care and mental health rehab. This is because the mental illnesses tend to co-occur with drug addiction - by leading people to abuse drugs or arising from drug and alcohol abuse - often need long term management and treatment.

Through an Artesia, CA. long-term program, therefore, you will get all the care and help you need to conquer both your alcohol and drug abuse and any co-occurring mental health disorder that you are struggling with.

If you opt for short-term treatment, you may find that you increasingly isolate yourself, neglect your physical health and wellness, and cease taking the prescription drugs that physicians recommended to you. This is why long-term drug and alcohol treatment makes sense for people with co-occurring conditions and who require more intervention.
