List of Long Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers In Searcy, Arkansas

Do I Need Long Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Searcy, Arkansas?

What is an addictive or psychoactive drug? An addictive or psychoactive drug is a substance such as heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, roxycodone, demerol, amytal etc... that acts primarily upon the central nervous system where it changes brain function, which causes temporary changes in awareness, mood, consciousness and demeanor. Addictive substances also change the personalities of the individuals that use them and these changes in personality and behavior are most often extremely detrimental and undesirable. When a person begins using a psychoactive substance they may experience an artificial perception of euphoria brought on by the drug. When used daily for an extended amount of time the individual will acquire an addiction to the substance. Addiction will usually be a tremendous nightmare in a persons life. No one intends to create this suffering, known as addiction, on themselves, rather the individual was simply unaware of the negative consequences and they could only see the euphoria it seemed to bring at first and they figured it would always be that way.

Luckily there are recovery options for those in Searcy, Arkansas struggling with substance abuse problems. A chronic addiction requires a long term inpatient treatment program. Addiction is an issue that can be handled but it's not handled overnight. The most effective method employed to treat alcohol and drug addiction today is long term residential treatment. Just as no one purposefully tries to develop an addiction to substances, no one has to continue to be addicted if they get the professional rehabilitation that they need to resolve the problem.

Getting your loved one the treatment that they need can repair their life and restore happiness in the household.

If you have tried to help an addicted person on your own but have been unsuccessful, listed below are some of the benefits of getting professional help for a loved one's addiction.

  • Putting them them into a safe and supportive therapeutic community.
  • The turmoil that always goes along with addiction will diminish for everybody once the person is in the rehab program.
  • The negative consequence of addiction far outweighs the cost of rehab.
  • The individual will receive 24 hour care including medically monitored assistance through the detoxification process.
  • The individual will receive the help and support that is needed to repair their life.
  • The individual will learn how to repair the destruction that they have caused to themselves and their loved ones.
  • The person will learn recovery skills and tools that they will need to recover.
  • They will regain self esteem and confidence and regain self worth again.
  • Physiological and psychological therapy provides significant advantages for a lasting rehabilitation.
  • The individual will learn how to prevent cravings and urges and how to overcome them rather than relapsing.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
